Jake Gubb

Jake Gubb

Jake worked his way through the VJBL system at Westernport as a player from U12's to U20’s. He coached U14's-U20’s at Westernport and Mornington at Representative level as well as an U18’s girls team at Frankston. Jake's desire is to help anyone with a passion for hoops.

Jen Flack

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Jen Flack

Jen has been a strength and conditioning coach for three years and has experience working in NBL1 with the Frankston Blues. She is passionate about helping players get stronger, more fit and be able to stay injury free and on the court. Whether it be taking your game to the next level, returning from injury or just general health and fitness goals Jen is here to help.

Kynan Philippe

Kynan Philippe

Kynan spent his junior years with the Frankston Blues before recently completing his second year as a part of the Frankston Blues NBL1 South men’s roster. He recently committed to St. Cloud State University in Minnesota off the back of his 3rd time representing Victoria at the Australian Junior Championships, one of which earned him a silver medal.

James McKinnon

 James McKinnon

James began his playing career with the Sandringham Sabres, moving to the US to play NCAA Div 2 in California. Upon returning to Australia, he played in the SEABL for the Sabres before moving into coaching. I have coached as a Head Coach in the Canada USports competition as well as a recent stint with Basketball Tasmania working with high performance athletes of all ages.

Alex Thompson

Alex Thompson

Alex played juniors at Mornington and currently plays for their Youth Men's team. He loves his hoops and if he's not playing, you'll find him coaching.

Hannah Wickstrom

Hannah Wickstrom

Hannah started her basketball career in juniors at Sandringham and is now still playing for the Sabres in the NBL1.. She competed in the Victorian Championship, Junior National Classics and represented Victoria in the u14,u18 and u20 National Championships. She is passionate about coaching the next generation of basketball players and helping them reach their fullest potential.

Jordan Glenn

Jordan Glenn

Jordan has grown up through the VJBL pathway and has experience playing at the Youth League level. He is currently coaching for the Ringwood Hawks with 10 years experience. Basketball is a strong passion of his and he loves helping kids develop their skills.

Nyadiew Puoch

Coach

Nyadiew Puoch

Nyadiew played her junior basketball for the Dandenong Rangers and has two years experience in the WNBL with the South Side Flyers as well the NBL1 Dandenong Rangers team.

Ryan Broekhoff

Head of Basketball

Ryan Broekhoff

Ryan started his basketball career playing for the Frankston Blues. He went on to play basketball professionally for ten years over multiple continents. Highlights of his career were representing Australia in the 2016 Olympics, as well as playing for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. His journey has brought him full circle and he is ready to give back, by helping the next generation on their pathway to success through basketball.
